This series of work is an exploration of self-identity through the clinical examination of my skin at surface level.  Our skin is the visible exterior of the human body but I want to make visible the elements unseen by our normal vision.

Each image represents a journey around the surface of the skin, highlighting the natural patterns that are unique to my body and the intricate details that are just traces left from my life experiences.

'Star dust' is a series combining scanography techniques and the medium of skin. Our bodies consist of 70% Hydrogen, formed by the combining of protons and electrons. Billions of years ago they began to combine, forming clouds of hydrogen, becoming denser due to gravity until they formed a star. Our origins are linked to stars; we are nothing more than star dust.
